	Notes on avoiding damage to electronic components due to electrostatic discharge		AH54.00-P-0001-01A
1	Open engine hood
2.1	Store basic data from ME-SFI [ME] control unit (N3/10) temporarily in STAR DIAGNOSIS	When installing a new ME-SFT [ME] control unit (N3/10).
		 Installation: Transmit basic data from intermediate storage to the new ME-SFI [ME] control unit (N3/10).
	Connect up STAR DIAGNOSIS and read out fault memory		AD00.00-P-2000-04AK
3	Turn off ignition
4.1	Remove engine trim panel	Engine 266.980	AR01.10-P-2405BK
5	Unscrew bolt (2) from wiring harness bracket (1)		*BA07.08-P-1002-01D
6	Release engine wiring harness plug (4) and vehicle wiring harness plug (5) and pull out of the ME-SFT [ME] control unit (N3/10)	 Installation: Carefully attach the engine wiring harness plug (4) and the vehicle wiring harness plug (5) to the ME-SFT [ME] control unit (N3/10) and lock.
7	Remove bolts (3)		*BA07.08-P-1001-01D
8	Tilt the ME-SFT [ME] control unit (N3/10) up to the rear
9	Unhook the ME-SFT [ME] control unit (N3/10) from the brackets (6)	 Installation: Replace seal (7).
10	Install in the reverse order
11.1	Perform sensor rotor adaptation using STAR DIAGNOSIS	 Only when replacing.
