Mark the intake valves (14) and exhaust valves (15) and remove from the cylinder head

Clean valve guides (6) using a cylinder brush (7)



Checking

Check intake valves (14) and exhaust valves (15) for additional applicability

 The valve stems must have no surface damage. The grooves in the cotters must not be worn and the chrome layer on the valve stems must not be damaged. The valve seats must not be scorched. Replace the related intake valves (14) and exhaust valves (15) if necessary.

Check the inside diameter of valve guides (6) with drift (8)

 If the side marked "+" of drift (8) can be inserted in the valve guide (6):

Replace corresponding valve guide (6).

Install

Insert intake valves (14) and exhaust valves (15) into the cylinder head

 Oil valve stems with engine oil. If used intake valves (14) and exhaust valves (15) are reinstalled then note markings on them.

Insert valve springs (4) and new valve stem seals (5)

 Install: Only the modified valve stem seals (5).
