Remove

1

Remove the transmission with torque converter.

Insert retaining lock (9).

Unscrew screws (1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8) in numerical sequence and remove front perforated disk (11v).

Slide retaining lock (9) rearward out of ring gear of drive plate (12).

Remove drive plate (12) and rear perforated disk (11h).



Check

Check threads (13).

If the threads (13) are damaged or loose:



Replace drive plate (12).

Check ring gear of drive plate (12).

If damage or wear is present:



Replace drive plate (12).

Check starter drive pinion (10) for damage.

If there is a problem,



Replace starter.

Check positioning pin (14) on crankshaft (15) for damage.

If there is a problem,



Replace positioning pin (14).

Check rear radial shaft sealing ring.

If damage or leakage is present:



Replace rear radial shaft sealing ring.

Check drive plate (12) for damage.

If there is a problem,



Replace drive plate (12).



Install

12

Position new rear perforated disk (11h) on crankshaft (15).

 The rear perforated disk (11h) has a disk thickness of 2 mm.

Position drive plate (12) on crankshaft (15).

Position new front perforated disk (11h) on crankshaft (15).

 The front perforated disk (11h) has a disk thickness of 3.5 mm.

Screw in new screws (1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8) and tighten lightly by hand.

Slide retaining lock (9) forward into ring gear of drive plate (12).

 Retaining lock

Tighten new screws (1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8) in numerical sequence.
