2	Determine the side clearance of the piston rings (1, 2, 3)		*BE03.10-P-1003-02B

3	Remove the piston rings (1, 2, 3) from the piston	 Installation: Pay attention to the installation position of the piston rings. The emblem "Top" or the name of the manufacturer must point towards the piston crown. Insert the hook spring (8) with the garter spring (4) offset 180° to the ring gap of the oil scraper ring (arrow). Install piston rings (1, 2, 3) with piston ring gaps offset 120°.

4	Determine the end gap of the piston rings (1, 2, 3)	 Insert respective piston ring (1, 2, 3) into the unused area of the cylinder contact surface.	*BE03.10-P-1004-02B

5	Install in the reverse order
