Before the first drive the following operation steps must be carried out.
Damage can occur to the engine otherwise.
1 | Start the engine and run in neutral for 35 s. |
2 | Increase engine speed to 1500 rpm and maintain it at that for 180 s. |
3 | Increase engine speed to 2500 rpm and maintain it at that for 180 s. |
4 | Increase engine speed to 3500 rpm and maintain it at that for 120 s. |
5 | Allow engine to run at idle for approx. 120 seconds. |
6 | Through a number of abrupt accelerations increase the engine rpm for about 30 s up to a max. of 3500 rpm. |
7 | Perform a workshop test drive over a driving distance of about 30 km. |
Wide open throttle operation is not permissible during the first 10 km. One should not exceed a maximum rotational speed of 3500 rpm. |
The driving profile should be about 50% city and 50% intercity. |
