1 | Open rear lid | ||
2 | Shut off fuel feed | If there is a shutoff valve (5). If there is no shutoff valve, ensure that no fuel flows subsequently. | |
3 | Drain fuel at the drain valve (1) | Use a suitable receptacle. Dispose off the dirty fuel mixture in a non-polluting manner. | |
4 | Disconnect electrical connector (4) | ||
5 | Detach the water separator (2) | Installation: Clean the water separator (2) from inside; in case of damage, replace if required. | |
6 | Detach the prefilter element (3) | If it is difficult to turn, unscrew using universal strap wrench. | |
Installation: Oil the gasket; tighten the prefilter element (3) by hand. | |||
