	Checking
1.1	Check protrusion (A) of pilot bushing (3) compared to guide sleeve (2) on all disk brakes	 If protrusion (A) no longer exists, the wear limit (B) of the brake pad has been reached
		This indirect check is only a rough check due to tolerance dimensions. If the protrusion (A) is less than 4.5 mm, a direct check of the brake lining thickness by taking off the wheels is required for safety reasons - subject to separate repair order.
1.2	Check brake caliper (1) relative to the fixed brake carrier flange (5) by means of the brake caliper marking (6) on all disk brakes	 If the brake caliper has assumed condition (B), the wear limit on the brake linings is reached.
		This indirect check is only a rough check due to tolerance dimensions and obstructed vision. For safety reasons a direct check of the brake lining thickness by removing the wheels is necessary - subject to separate repair order.

2	Open plugs (4) in the inspection holes in the brake carrier plates	Vehicles with drum brakes.
3	Check brake lining thickness of primary brake shoes and secondary brake shoes on all drum brakes	Vehicles with drum brakes.
		 The wear limit of the brake linings is indicated by a stepped edge (arrow).

4	Seal off inspection holes with plug (4)	Vehicles with drum brakes.
5	Enter protrusion (A) (disk brake) or brake lining thickness (drum brake) of the individual wheel brakes in the maintenance sheet
