4 | Unlock release lever (3), pull outward and engage in catch (2) | The locking hook (1) must be unlocked. | |

If the guide plate (7) is worn down to the bolt (6), the guide plate (7) must be replaced, subject to a separate repair order. | |||
6.2 | Check condition and wear of coupling plate | GF fifth wheel coupling | |
If the coupling plate is worn down to the base of the lubricating grooves (arrows), the coupling plate must be replaced - subject to a separate repair order. | |||
7 | Check play in bearings of coupling plate | The procedure varies depending on the manufacturer of the fifth wheel coupling. Observe the specifications from the respective manufacturer. | |
