Oil filler plug

 Danger !

Risk of injury to skin and eyes due to handling of transmission oil. Health risk caused by swallowing transmission oil

Wear protective gloves, protective clothing and safety glasses.
Do not pour transmission oil into beverage bottles.

Remove

Detach engine compartment encapsulation under transmission

 See information from vehicle manufacturer.



Clean

Clean area around oil filler plug (1)



Check

Prepare suitable receptacle for any escaping automatic transmission fluid and remove oil filler screw (1)

Check transmission oil level, if necessary refill up to lower edge of opening for oil filler screw (1)


Check transmission oil level only when transmission is cold.
When the transmission is warm, the transmission oil level is higher which leads to an incorrect measurement.

 Observe transmission oil grade specified by the transmission supplier.
