Select adjustment method for valve clearance.

 The valve clearance can be adjusted according to injection sequence or in two crankshaft positions.

Move engine into crankshaft position of selected adjustment method.

Inspect valve clearance (arrow) and adjust.

 Wait at least 30 minutes after switching off the engine to check or adjust the valve clearance to ensure that the engine is evenly warmed through. This also applies to short-term operation.

 The test value tolerance of the valve clearance applies only for checking, not adjusting.
