Retrofit rpm sensor

Clean mounting of travel and speed sensor (B6/12) on transmission housing.

Insert travel and speed sensor (B6/12) with sealing ring into mounting and fasten with screw  .

Route signal line (1) over transmission to the left and forwards into engine compartment.

Fasten signal line (1) to existing electrical lines and subharnesses in area of transmission with cable ties.

Ensure routing of lines is free of tension and chafing.
This prevents damage.

If necessary

Attach chafe protection.

Retrofit rpm sensor

Route signal line (1) in engine compartment to the left to cable duct (2).

Open cable duct (2) and pass signal line (1) into vehicle interior.

Fasten signal line (1) to existing electrical lines and subharnesses in engine compartment with cable ties.


Ensure routing of lines is free of tension and chafing.
This prevents damage.


If necessary

Attach chafe protection.

Close cable duct (2).

Connect signal adapter line (3) to violet 4-pin plug (4) on signal line (1).

Route signal adapter line (3) with yellow 8-pin plug (5) under instrument panel to installation opening of tachograph.


The installation position of the tachograph is located below the control and operating unit of the climate control.
