Detaching
1 Screw nut onto the thread of the piston (2) and clamp air spring bellows (1) with piston (2) in the vise
The nut is used to protect the thread on the piston (2).
2 Pull the air spring bellows (1) off the piston (2).
3 Carefully pry air spring bellows (1) off piston (2) using assembly lever.
In order to prevent leakage due to score marks, do not damage piston (2) when prying off.
4 Clean piston (2) and check for damage, replace if necessary
Installation
5 Coat raised bead of air suspension bellows (1) and seat of piston (2) with soap suds.
6 Press new air spring bellows (1) onto piston (2).
