Detach, attach air bellows from piston

Detaching

1 Screw nut onto the thread of the piston (2) and clamp air spring bellows (1) with piston (2) in the vise

 The nut is used to protect the thread on the piston (2).

2 Pull the air spring bellows (1) off the piston (2).

3 Carefully pry air spring bellows (1) off piston (2) using assembly lever.

 In order to prevent leakage due to score marks, do not damage piston (2) when prying off.

4 Clean piston (2) and check for damage, replace if necessary

Installation

5 Coat raised bead of air suspension bellows (1) and seat of piston (2) with soap suds.

6 Press new air spring bellows (1) onto piston (2).
