Removing, installing

Remove the generator (G1)

Remove the front semi-axle

Remove the intermediate shaft

Turn belt pulley/vibration damper (10) until bolt (3) is accessible

 Rotate engine at crankshaft.

Unscrew bolt (3)



Unscrew bolts (5) and take off support crossmember (4) at generator support (1)

 Support cross member (4) is attached with six bolts. Four of them are screwed in at the cylinder head.

Unscrew bolt (9)

Engine 601.970



Detach oil return pipes (6) at crankcase and take off together with intermediate pipe

 Installation: replace seal (7) and gasket (8).

Unscrew bolts (2) and take off generator support (1)

 Pay attention to dowel sleeves at the bottom bolts (2).


