Remove/install

Danger!

Only pour fuels into suitable and appropriately marked containers.

Remove injectors

Unhinge wiring (2)

To do this remove bolts (3), remove wiring (2) and press lightly to the side.

Remove leak oil line (4) to cylinder head cover (60)

Place leak oil line (4) to the side.

Unclip drain hose for cylinder head cover (5) below cylinder head

Detach crankcase ventilation hose (6) from cylinder head cover (60)

Disconnect electrical connector from Hall sensor for camshaft (B6/1) or camshaft Hall sensor (B6/17)

Remove bolts (7)

Remove cylinder head cover (60)

Installation: Clean sealing surfaces and install new seals.

Install in the reverse order

Checking

Ensure gasket of cylinder head cover (60) is correctly installed

Check engine oil level, adjust to correct level if necessary

Risk of accident caused by vehicle starting off by itself when engine is running. Risk of injury caused by contusions and burns during starting procedure or when working near the engine as it is running

Secure vehicle to prevent it from moving by itself.
Wear closed and snug-fitting work clothes.
Do not touch hot or rotating parts.
