The fuel pump is actuated:

During ignition ON: The fuel pump is actuated for about 5 seconds (can be heard partially) as a full running protection.

During start operation by means of the first signals supplied by the crankshaft position sensor.

When engine running by means of "TNA" engine speed signal.

The fuel is actuated through the fuel pump relay. The fuel pump relay is located in the rear SAM control unit with fuse and relay module.

The fuel pump relay is actuated by a ground signal from the ME-SFI [ME] control unit. When the relay contact is closed, the fuel pump relay with fuel level sensor is connected to circuit 30 (B+) via circuit 87.

If the fuel pump does not run, first of all test the voltage supply of the ME-SFI [ME] control unit, and then the fuse of the fuel pump.
