Risk of explosion caused by welding or soldering work on closed air conditioning system. Risk of poisoning caused by inhaling overheated refrigerant vapors. Risk of injury to skin and eyes caused by contact with liquid refrigerant.

Do not perform welding work on or near a closed air conditioning system. No smoking or open flames. Wear safety glasses and protective gloves. Work only in well ventilated areas. Carry out repair work on the air conditioning system circuit only after the system has been drained.

Draining

Drain new refrigerant compressor

Drain compressor oil via the openings for low-pressure and high-pressure line and dispose of it.

Drain removed refrigerant compressor

Drain compressor oil via openings for low-pressure and high-pressure line and collect with a suitable measuring cup.

Measure

Measure quantity of drained compressor oil from the removed refrigerant compressor

Note quantity measured, if necessary.

Filling

Fill new refrigerant compressor


The same quantity of new compressor oil must always be poured into the new refrigerant compressor which was contained in the previous refrigerant compressor.
Otherwise, malfunctions and damage to the components of the air conditioning may occur.
