Move front seat to the foremost position and move seat backrest to vertical position

Disconnect battery ground line

Remove door sill from the front door

Detach edge guard (3) on both sides in the area of the top B-pillar trim (1) and bottom B-pillar trim (2)

Pry off retaining clips (5) with assembly wedge from the B-pillar

 Installation: Remove retaining clips (5) from the bottom B-pillar trim (2) and attach to B-pillar.

Pull bottom B-pillar trim (2) downward and remove

 Installation: The guides (9) of the bottom B-pillar trim (2) must engage in the mounts (10) of the top B-pillar trim (1).

Remove screw (6) of the top B-pillar trim (1) from the B-pillar

Remove screw (7) and remove window airbag check strap (8) from the groove of the top B-pillar trim (1)

Pull out clip (11) and pull floor covering (12) away from the B-pillar until the bottom nuts (13) are accessible

Loosen nuts (13) of the distribution duct (14) by approx. 1 revolution

Push air distribution duct (14) downward and release both air ducts (15) from the top B-pillar trim (1)

Pry off retaining clips (4) with assembly wedge from the B-pillar and remove top B-pillar trim (1)

Disconnect electrical connector (16)

Disconnect electrical connectors (17, 18) and remove top B-pillar trim (1)

Install in the reverse order
