Drive the vehicle onto the measuring station and secure using the parking brake

The measuring system must be approved by Mercedes-Benz.

Perform preparations for distance and comparative measurements

Carry out distance and comparison measurements on front and rear axles

These measurements determine whether it is necessary to replace chassis components or repair the body on the straightening bench. Use either the reference value (difference between left and right) or the distance for assessment.

AR40.30-P-0402GZ

In the event of visible damage (e.g. crack formation, deformation) on front axle or rear axle carrier the damaged parts should be replaced.
