 	Remove/install
 Danger !	Risk of injury to skin and eyes suffering scalding from contact with hot coolantspray. Risk of poisoning from swallowing coolant.	Do not open cooling system unless coolant temperature is below 90 °C. Open cap slowly and release the pressure. Do not pour coolant into beverage containers. Wear protective gloves, protective clothing and safety glasses.	AS20.00-Z-0001-01A

3.1	Remove resonance intake manifold	ENGINE 276.9

3.2	Remove engine cover	ENGINE 276.8
		 Installation: Ensure correct seating of the engine cover.
4	Remove left engine air intake duct upstream of air filter	ENGINE 276.8
5	Disconnect Electrical connection on coolant thermostat heating element (R48)
6	Detach coolant hose (2) from coolant thermostat housing (1)		AR09.41-P-1311-01AL
7	Detach coolant line (3) for oil cooler on coolant thermostat housing (1)	ENGINE 276.9
		 Installation: Replace seal.
8	Unfasten charge air cooler and pull to the front with attached coolant lines	ENGINE 276.8	AR09.41-P-6819ELS
9	Remove oil filter element	ENGINE 276.8
			AP18.00-P-0101CWZ
10	Remove screw/bolts (5) and detach coolant line (4) at coolant thermostat housing (1)	ENGINE 276.8
11	Remove screw/bolts (6) and coolant thermostat housing (1) on timing case cover and cylinder head	 The coolant thermostat must not be removed from coolant thermostat housing (1). The coolant thermostat will be destroyed otherwise.
		 Installation: Replace O-ring and seal.
		 Bolt, thermostat to coolant pump/timing case cover	*BA20.10-P-1002-01AA
12	Install in the reverse order

 Danger !	Risk of accident from vehicle starting off by itself when engine running. Risk of injury (bruises and burns) resulting from working on the engine while it is being started or when it is running.	Secure vehicle to prevent it from starting off by itself. 14	Perform an engine test run and check engine for leaktightness
