Remove oil filter element and check slats of oil filter element from outside for metal abrasion and swollen condition

Only if there is advanced wear or damage to engine components.

Replace oil-water heat exchanger

Only if metal abrasion is present on oil filter element disks or in the engine oil circuit.

Remove oil pump, disassemble and check for wear through a visual inspection

Only remove if reinforced metal abrasion was found at oil filter element. If wear is present, replace oil pump if necessary.

Fill engine oil circuit

Only if the engine was repaired due to damage to the crankshaft
