Catch the oil in a suitable container.

Installation: Replace the sealing ring (4), observe the correct plug tightening (5) and refill the oil pan.

Remove the bolts (8) fastening the hose (7) to the oil pan (2)

Only for trucks with semi-advanced cab.

Release the oil level (B14) sensor connector (6)

Remove the bolts (3) and lift out the oil pan (2)


Dispose of the screws (3) after disassembly.
Otherwise the chemical lock will no longer be efficient.

Use the microencapsulated screws (3) for mounting M8x35 - N000000002815

Clean the oil pan and its sealing gasket settlement surface on the engine block.

Installation: Replace gasket (1) and observe correct positioning.

Install in reverse order

Check

Warning

Risk of accident from vehicle starting off by itself when engine running. Risk of injury (bruises and burns) resulting from working on the engine while it is being started or when it is running.

Secure vehicle to prevent it from starting off by itself. Wear closed and snug-fitting work clothes. Do not touch hot or rotating parts.

Starting the engine

Do not crank the engine continuously for more than 30 seconds.
If the engine does not fire within this interval, wait approximately 1 minute to crank it again.

Check the engine oil pressure with the engine idling

Do not accelerate the engine until oil pressure is shown on the indicator.
The oil pressure will have to be reestablished in approximately 10 seconds.

Stop the engine and check for eventual leaks

Check the oil level on the dipstick, 5 minutes after engine shutdown.
