General
The prerequisite for the navigation function is continuous position finding.

Entering destination
The destination can be entered with the buttons on the operating unit and is processed by the navigation processor. Only destinations listed on the CD-ROM can be entered. The data read from the CD-ROM map is indicated on the display on the operating unit. The destination entered is stored.

Route calculation
The route is calculated by the navigation processor after the destination is entered or automatically upon deviation from the suggested route.

Guidance
The guidance feature is started after entry of the destination and calculation of the route by the navigation processor.

Navigation is not available outside of the CD-ROM map boundaries. The message "NO MAP" appears on the display.
