Remove paneling from left C-pillar

Remove rear dome lamp

Remove A-pillar paneling at top right

Remove overhead control panel control unit

Remove inside rearview mirror

Remove bolts (3) and remove inside rearview mirror carrier (2) from headliner (1).

Unclip carrier (4) upward in sliding roof cutout

Remove windshield

Expose electric wiring harness (5) up to electrical connectors (6)

 Installation: Replace cable tie and damaged retaining clips.

Separate electrical connectors (6)

 Number of electrical connectors (6) depends on vehicle equipment.

Detach Velcro fasteners (7) of headliner (1) from rear

Slightly lower headliner (1) on sliding roof cutout and pull out of rear roof edge toward front.

Vehicle with code (414) Power glass tilting/sliding roof.

 Installation: Ensure that headliner (1) is seated properly.

Remove headliner (1) from vehicle toward front through windshield aperture and lay down on clean surface.

 Remove headliner (1) with aid of helper.

Prepare roof paneling (1) for installation

Only when replacing headliner (1).

Install in the reverse order

Position edge guard in area of headliner (1) using assembly wedge


