When lifting out, cover the trunk sill with a rag for example otherwise the paint of the trunk sill and/or the steel rim may become damaged. | |||
5.2 | Unscrew mounting bolt (25) and lift the vehicle tool kit molded part (26) out of the vehicle | On vehicles with code 669 spare tire on steel rim | |
Lift the vehicle tool kit molded part (26) first, then lift out upwards at an angle otherwise the lugs on the bottom side may break off. | |||
6 | Remove right spare tire well trim (3) | Slip out wiring harness. | |
7 | Using a suitable tool, press the clips (5) towards the rear SAM control unit (N10/8) and pull out of the bracket | ||
8 | Unlock plug (4) and detach from rear SAM control unit (N10/8) | The number of plugs (4) can vary depending on the vehicle equipment. | |
9 | Remove rear SAM control module (N10/8) | ||
10 | Install in the reverse order | ||
11 | Code the rear SAM control unit (N10/8) | Only when installing a new rear SAM control unit (N10/8). | |
