1 Ensure that the shim (31a) on the end face of the differential case makes good contact (arrow).

Check and adjust axial play of connecting flange

P35.31-0230-01

2 Check the axial play between the connecting flange and rear axle side gear, if necessary install a thicker or thinner retaining ring (30).

The axial play must be in the specified tolerance range.

The retaining rings are available in the thickness range of 1.2 mm to 1.8 mm, in stages of
0.05 mm.
