Modified installation position of the bracket for propeller shaft bearing
As of vehicle ident. end no. 164 406, all vehicles are delivered with a bearing bracket that is installed 6 mm higher (for the bracket of the propeller shaft center bearing).
In the event of a repair, the bearing bracket has to be welded-in in the modified position for these vehicles as of vehicle ident. end no. 164 406. In order to reach this position, it is necessary to install two tapping plates (3) between the straightening tool (1) (Celette and Car Bench) and the bearing bracket (2).
Remove the tapping plates after repair has been carried out. Tapping plates are to be used to position the bearing bracket on vehicles as of vehicle ident. end no. 164 406
Modified rubber mounts of the rear axle suspension in the rear
As of vehicle ident. end no. 161 739, the rear rubber mount with stop, model 202, is installed in all vehicles.
The supplementary set listed by the particular straightening system has to be used on these vehicles when placing onto the straightening bench with installed rear axle.
