Remove/install

Detach cover for seat cushion of front passenger seat from seat cushion padding (1) until the front passenger seat occupied recognition (B48/5) is accessible

Pull out electrical line (2) upward from seat cushion padding (1)

Push tabs of front passenger seat occupied recognition (B48/5) upwards out of seat cushion padding (1) (arrows A)

Installation: Ensure that tabs are correctly seated on underside of seat cushion padding (1) (arrows A).

Lift seat heater mat (3)

Model 447, 448 with code H15 (Seat heater for front passenger)

Remove front passenger seat occupied recognition (B48/5) from seat cushion padding (1)

Installation: Pay attention to installation position: the top of the front passenger seat occupied recognition (B48/5) is marked "TOP" at the tabs (arrows B).

Install in the reverse order

Check

Check Supplemental Restraint System (SRS) with diagnostic system

After replacing the front passenger seat occupied recognition (B48/5).
