| Remove/install | ||
1 | Switch off ignition and store transmitter key outside of transmission range (min. 2 m) | ||
2 | Disconnect battery ground line | ||
3 | Remove seat-back lining at left or right backrest | ||
4 | Drill out rivets (4) for sidebag unit (1) on front seat (3) | Installation: Eyelet of ground line (2) is fixed in place together with sidebag unit (1). | |
5 | Slide front seat (3) sidebag unit (1) down and remove | ||
6 | Unclip and disconnect electrical connector for sidebag unit (1) | ||
7 | Remove sidebag unit (1) | ||
8 | Install in the reverse order | ||

9 | Check and erase vehicle fault memory using diagnostic system | When replacing sidebag unit (1). | |
