Remove/install

Switch off ignition and store transmitter key outside of transmission range (min. 2  m)

Disconnect ground line to battery

Remove headliner and put down on seats

Disconnect electrical connection from left front windowbag squib (R12/16) or right front windowbag squib (R12/17)

Unhook check strap (2) from holders (3) on the A-pillar

Unscrew nuts (4)

 Nut, windowbag unit to roof frame

Unclip windowbag unit (1) using assembly wedge from roof frame (arrows)

Remove windowbag unit (1)

Install in the reverse order



Check

10

Check and erase vehicle fault memory using diagnostic system

When replacing windowbag unit (1).


