Remove/install

Adjust driver and front passenger seat into fully reclined position

Disconnect ground line on battery.

Remove roof lining and place onto seats.

Release and disconnect electrical connector (2) at gas generator.

 Removal lever

Remove screw (3) and unhook holder of gas generator from body.

 Bolt, holder for windowbag gas generator to A-pillar/roof frame

Press tabs (arrows B) together through the openings (arrows A) with suitable pliers and remove clamps (4).

Remove window airbag unit (1) with gas generator and place in vehicle.

Remove window airbag unit (1) with gas generator from vehicle.


Handle window airbag unit (1) carefully.
Otherwise, the interior equipment or paint may be damaged.

Install in the reverse order.



Check

Check Supplemental Restraint System (SRS) using vehicle diagnosis system.

When replacing windowbag unit (1).


