Remove/install

Detach ground line of on-board electrical system battery.

Detach ground line from additional battery.

Disconnect ground line of auxiliary battery for park pawl emergency shift mode.

Remove corresponding A-pillar trim.

Release corresponding B-pillar trim (3) in the upper area.

Remove stowage box/tray over windshield.

Pull out window airbag (1) under roof lining (2) and B-pillar trim (3) until the electrical connector (4) is accessible.

Disconnect electrical connection (4).

Remove screws (5) and detach holder (6).

Push shackles (arrows B) together with suitable pliers through the openings (arrows A) and remove retaining clamps (7) from the A-pillar.

Unclip retaining clip (8).

Remove screw (9) and remove window airbag (1).

Install in the reverse order.



Check

Check Supplemental Restraint System (SRS) using vehicle diagnosis system.


