Remove/install

Switch off ignition and remove the ignition key

Remove front passenger bench seat backrest padding

Drill out rivets (2)

Remove seat backrest cover (3) from seat backrest frame

Remove the electrical connector (4) from the seat belt retractor (5)

Remove screw (6) and remove seat belt (1) together with the seat belt retractor (5)

 Installation: Ensure that the seat belt retractor (5) is seated correctly in the guide (arrow).

If the seat belt (1) is replaced together with the seat belt retractor (5).



Dispose of defective seat belt (1) and seat belt retractor (5) in a proper manner.

Install in the reverse order



Perform function test of seat belt (1)

Check Supplemental Restraint System (SRS) with diagnostic system

If the seat belt (1) has been replaced together with the seat belt retractor (5).


