Remove/install

Information on preventing damage to electronic components due to electrostatic discharge

Remove seat-back lining from left or right front seat backrest

Move head restraint (1) up

Move front seat backrest all the way back

Release head restraint (1) from toothed rack (2) by applying a blow from below and pull out of front seat backrest

Installation: Ensure that head restraint (1) is properly seated in toothed rack (2).

Move front seat backrest all the way to the front

Lower head restraint (1)

Remove safety clips (3) and remove left front head restraint motor (M27/4) or right front head restraint motor (M28/4)

Disconnect ground cable

Disconnect electrical connector from left front head restraint motor (M27/4) or right front head restraint motor (M28/4)

Install in the reverse order
