Remove/install

Set seat backrest on each passenger seat upright.

Remove head restraint guides.


Model 447.8, 448.8 with code U90 (Luxury seat, 1st seat row at left) or with code U91 (Luxury seat, 1st seat row at right)

Mark assembly position of seat belt end fitting, remove it then remove trim of seat belt guide bracket (3) from passenger seat.

Do not remove seat belt guide bracket (3) from passenger seat.

Unhook hooks (2) on seat backrest frame.

The number of hooks (2) can vary.

Unhook piping (4) on seat backrest frame.

Expose and disconnect electrical connector (6).

Lift seat backrest cover (1) with seat backrest padding in the lower area from seat backrest frame until the valve block (8) is accessible.

Do not disconnect electrical connector (5).

Detach compressed-air line (7) from valve block (8).

Removal:
Carefully remove compressed-air line (7).
There is a risk of damage to the valve block (8).

Detach electrical connection (9).

Remove seat backrest cover (1) with seat backrest padding upward from seat backrest frame.


Do not kink lines of air cushion with valve block (8).
Otherwise, damage and malfunction can occur.

Installation: Ensure that the seat backrest cover (1) is seated correctly on the mount (arrow).

Remove seat backrest cover (1) from seat backrest padding.

If seat backrest cover (1) or seat backrest padding is replaced.

The backrest cover (1) is fastened with 16 clips.

Install in the reverse order.

Check

Perform function test of all electrical functions on passenger seat.
