Remove

Remove back shell of passenger seat backrest.

Model 447.8, 448.8 with code U90 (Luxury seat, 1st left seat row) or with code U91 (Luxury seat, 1st right seat row)

Mark assembly position of seat belt end fitting (3), remove bolt (2) and remove seat belt end fitting (3).

 The seat belt end fitting (3) must be installed at an angle of 42" to the vertical.

Unclip seat belt guide (4) from trim (5) and remove from seat belt (1).

Unscrew screw/bolt (6).

Remove trim (5) upwards from frame of passenger seat backrest (10).

Guide seat belt (1) through trim (5) and remove trim (5).

Pull seat belt (1) to one side and remove screw (7) from seat belt guide bracket (8).

Expose seat belt guide bracket (8) at seat backrest.

Unhook seat backrest cover hook (9) from passenger seat backrest frame (10).

 The number of seat backrest cover hooks (9) can vary.

Remove belt guide (11) from passenger seat backrest frame (10).

Expose seat belt (1) with seat belt guide bracket (8) and seat belt end fitting (3) at seat backrest.


Do not damage seat belt (1) during removal.
Otherwise, the seat belt (1) will have to be replaced.

Remove screw (13) and remove seat belt (1) with seat belt retractor (12).



Disassemble

Disassemble trim (5).

 The trim (5) consists of the trim front section (5.1) and the trim rear section (5.2).
The trim front section (5.1) and trim rear section (5.2) are connected to 4 catch hooks.



Install

Position guide (15) of seat belt retractor (12) on the padding (16) on the seat frame base (14) and tighten the seat belt retractor (12) with screw (13).

Position seat belt (1) with seat belt guide bracket (8) and seat belt end fitting (3) on seat backrest.


Do not damage seat belt (1) during installation.
Otherwise, the seat belt (1) will have to be replaced.

Position seat belt guide bracket (8) on passenger seat backrest frame (10) and tighten with screw (7).

Attach seat belt guide (11) to passenger seat backrest frame (10).

Insert hook of seat backrest cover (9) onto passenger seat backrest frame (10).

 The number of seat backrest cover hooks (9) can vary.

Clip trim rear section (5.2) on the passenger seat backrest frame (10).

Guide seat belt (1) through trim front section (5.1) and clip trim front section (5.1) onto passenger seat backrest frame (10).

Tighten bolt (6) .

Guide seat belt (1) through seat belt guide (4) and clip seat belt guide (4) onto trim (5).

Position seat belt end fitting (3) and tighten with screw (2).

 Observe marking.

 The seat belt end fitting (3) must be installed at an angle of 42" to the vertical.

Install back shell of passenger seat backrest.

Carry out function test on seat belt (1).
