Remove head restraint up/down motor (M27m4) or head restraint up/down motor (M28m4)

Unhook lower backrest padding (1) from retaining hooks (2) on backrest frame

Unclip terminal strips (3) from backrest padding (1) from backrest frame

Expose electrical connector (4) of heated seats and disconnect

Only on front seats with code (873) Heated seats for left and right front seats or with code (401) Front deluxe seats, incl. seat heating and seat ventilation

Expose electrical connector (5) of left front seat backrest ventilation motor group (M18/10) or right front seat backrest ventilation motor group (M18/12) and disconnect

Only on front seats with code (401a) Front deluxe seats incl. seat heater and seat ventilation

Push rear seat cushion down and remove lower backrest padding (1) towards front

Pry off backrest padding (1) and remove

Installation: Align backrest padding (1).

Install in the reverse order
