1 | Remove filler cap | ||
2 | Unscrew bolts for tank recess (2) | Bolt (a) is a dummy plug, do not screw out. Installation: Grease bolts and tighten in crisscross pattern. | |
3 | Pull fuel filler flap (1) off of tank filler fitting together with tank recess (2) | Installation: Position seal boot over tank filler fitting.Ensure that seal boot is seated correctly. | |
4 | Remove tank recess (2) from fuel filler flap (1) | Installation: Ensure that sealing profile on tank recess (2) covers circumferential edge of fuel filler flap (1). When installing, ensure that hole pattern is positioned correctly. | |
5 | Install in the reverse order | ||
| Inspect | ||
6 | Check function of fuel filler flap (1) by opening and closing |
