Remove

Remove air inlet grilles.

Adjust

Adjust height offset between the hood (1) and the adjacent component parts.


Align hinges (4) parallel to the front top longitudinal member. For this purpose, observe installation position (see picture A).
An incorrect installation position (see picture B) will cause damage to the front fenders and hood (1) when the hood (1) is closed.

 To do this, loosen bolts (3) and align hinges (4).

 Helper required.

Tighten bolts(3).

 Bolt, hinge to body

Check

Check that the hood (1) opens and closes correctly.


The hood (1) and the front fenders must not come into contact.
Otherwise, damage to the hood (1) and front fenders may occur.

If the hood (1) does not open or close correctly,



Repeat operation steps 2 and 3.

Adjust

Adjust gap dimensions.

 To do this, loosen bolts (2) and align hood (1).

Tighten screws (2).

 Screw/bolt, engine hood to hinge

Check

7

Check hood catch.

If the hood catch does not lock properly,



Adjust hood catch.

Remove/install engine hood catch

Repair paint damage

Repair paint damage on screws (2, 3) with a suitable touch-up paint pen.
