Risk of explosion due to fuel vapors igniting, risk of poisoning due to combustion gases and risk of injury from burns during and after heater operation.

Do not put stationary heater or engine with heater booster into operation in confined spaces or while refuelling. Allow heater unit to cool down after operation and wear safety gloves.

Danger of severe burns to skin and eyes from hot coolant spewing out. Coolant is toxic when swallowed

Open cooling system only when coolant temperature is below 90 °C. Open cover slowly and reduce pressure. Do not fill beverage containers with coolant. Wear protective gloves, protective clothing and protective goggles.

Eliminate the pressure from the coolant circuit

Lower the heater with support

Disconnect the coolant hoses (1) with clamp (2)



Remove the connector box lid (3)

 Installation: Make sure the joints are correctly seated

Disconnect the 12-pin plug-in connection (X167) and the connector box

Open the connector box and remove Pins 8 and 10

 Installation: Pay attention to the location of the connectors

Unscrew the temperature switch

 Collect any spilt coolant in a suitable container



Installation in reverse order

 Danger!

Accident hazard resulting from vehicle starting to move by itself with engine running. Danger of injury resulting from pinching and burning when reaching in during the starting operation or with the engine running.

Secure vehicle against starting to move unintentionally.
Wear closed and tight fitting work clothing.

Do not touch hot or rotating parts.

Start the engine up; purge the air from the cooling and heating system.

Heat the engine with variable revolutions for approximately 1 minute.

Fill with coolant continuously until the upper mark of the coolant filler neck is reached.

Stop the engine

Carry out operation test
