5.1 | Remove bolts for diagonal strut (1) and remove diagonal strut | Only model 450.4. | |

6 | Disconnect connectors (2) at heater (10) | ||
7 | Remove screw/bolt (3) from heater exhaust muffler bracket | Place a suitable lifting device underneath. | |
8 | Remove EJOT screws/bolts (4) at bracket of heater (10) | If the heater (10) is replaced, the bracket from the heater (10) must be transferred. | |
9 | Disconnect circulation pump power supply (5) | ||
10 | Release hose clamp (6) at fuel line (11) and disconnect fuel line (11) | Prevent the fuel from escaping with suitable aids. | |
11 | Release hose clamp for coolant hose (7) at coolant outlet from heater (10) and disconnect coolant hose | Place receptacle underneath. | |
12 | Undo hose clamp on combustion air intake line (9) and detach combustion air intake line from heater | If the heater (10) is replaced, the exhaust muffler (12) must be transferred. | |
13 | Release hose clamp for coolant hose (8) at coolant inlet from heater (10) and disconnect coolant hose | Place receptacle underneath. | |
14 | Remove heater (10) | ||
15 | Install in the reverse order | ||
16.1 | Remove invalid dates on model plate of heater (10) | Only if the heater (10) was replaced. | |
17 | Treat heater components with corrosion protection wax | ||
18 | Perform function test | ||
19.1 | Print out and fill out form | ||
