No fires, sparks, open flames, or smoking. Wear acid-resistant gloves, clothing, and glasses. Pour battery acid only into suitable and appropriately marked containers.

Remove/install

De-energize high-voltage on-board electrical system.

Disconnect ground line from battery.

Remove screw (1) and release holder (2).

Disconnect high-voltage plug (3) at high voltage PTC heater (N33/4) and seal connections with protective covers.

Ensure scrupulous cleanliness.
Otherwise, the high voltage components may be damaged.

Disconnect electrical connection (4).

Seal coolant hoses (5) with clamping device.

Remove coolant hoses (5) from connection.

 Collect escaping coolant with dry cloths.

Seal connections of coolant hoses (5) at high voltage PTC heater (N33/4) using suitable stop plugs.

Remove equipotential bonding line (6) from high voltage PTC heater (N33/4).

Remove nuts (7) and remove high voltage PTC heater high voltage (N33/4).

Remove coolant hoses (5) from high voltage PTC heater (N33/4).

When replacing the high voltage PTC heater (N33/4).

Remove holder (8) from high voltage PTC heater (N33/4).

When replacing the high voltage PTC heater (N33/4).

 Screw, high-voltage PTC heater to holder

Install in the reverse order.

Correct coolant level.
