Risk of death caused by vehicle slipping or toppling off of the lifting platform.

Align vehicle between vehicle lift columns and position the four support plates at the vehicle lift support points specified by the vehicle manufacturer.

Risk of injury to skin and eyes suffering scalding from contact with hot coolantspray. Risk of poisoning from swallowing coolant.

Do not open cooling system unless coolant temperature is below 90 °C. Open cap slowly and release the pressure. Do not pour coolant into beverage containers.
Wear protective gloves, protective clothing and safety glasses.

Remove/install

Switch off ignition and store transmitter key outside of transmission range (min. 2  m).

 To prevent the stationary heater from being switched on unintentionally, keep the Telestart transmitter protected against unauthorized or accidental access for the duration of the work on the stationary heater.
Deactivate the stationary heater's timer function.

Lift vehicle with lifting platform.

Clamp off coolant hoses (2).

 Clamp

Open clamps (3) and detach coolant hoses (2) from heater box (1).

 Collect escaping coolant using a suitable collecting pan.

Seal connection fittings of heater box (1) using suitable stop plugs.

Disconnect electrical connection (4).

Detach grommet (5) from vehicle floor and press into vehicle interior.

Unscrew screws (7).

Remove heater box (1) upward and, at the same time, guide electrical wiring harness (8) through opening in vehicle floor.

 Installation: Make sure that the grommets (5, 6) are seated correctly.

Install in the reverse order



 Danger

Risk of explosion caused by fuel vapors igniting, risk of poisoning caused by inhaling combustible gases and risk of injury caused by burns during and after operation of heater unit

Do not operate stationary heater, auxiliary heater or engine with heater booster in closed rooms or when refueling. Allow heater unit to cool down after operation and wear protective gloves.

Perform function check of auxiliary heating.

Check/correct engine coolant level.

Check coolant circuit on heater box (1) for leak tightness.

 Visual inspection.
