Never perform welding work on or near a closed air conditioning system. No smoking or open flames. Wear safety glasses and protective gloves. Work only in well ventilated rooms. Carry out repair work on the air conditioning system circuit only after the system has been evacuated.

Remove air filter housing

Remove poly-V-belt from belt pulley of refrigerant compressor (6)

Unfasten coolant expansion reservoir and swivel out of working area with attached coolant hoses

 Do not extract coolant.

Remove refrigerant lines (1) from refrigerant compressor (6)



Compressor oils (specification 362.1)

 Installation: Replace sealing rings and moisten with compressor oil.

Seal openings on refrigerant lines (1) and at refrigerant compressor (6) using stop plugs

Remove screws (3) and remove oil lines (2) from refrigerant compressor (6)

Disconnect electrical connection (4)

Remove screws/bolts (5)

Remove refrigerant compressor (6)

Install in the reverse order

Carry out breaking in of refrigerant compressor (6) using vehicle diagnosis system

When replacing the refrigerant compressor (6).


