| Remove/install | ||
1 | Switch off ignition and store transmitter key outside of transmitter range (min. 2 m). | ||
2 | Discharge air conditioning system. | ||
3 | Remove engine air intake duct upstream of air filter housing. | ||
4 | Remove coolant pump switchover valve (Y133). | ||
Installation: Only install lower engine compartment paneling after leak test. | |||
5 | Release and disconnect coolant connections (1), seal with protective covers and set aside. | ||
Collect escaping coolant in suitable container. | |||

6 | Remove screws (3) of refrigerant lines. | Bolt, refrigerant line to refrigerant compressor | |
7 | Pull refrigerant lines out of refrigerant compressor (A9) or refrigerant compressor with magnetic clutch (A9/7), and seal openings using suitable stop plugs. | Installation: Replace seals of refrigerant lines. | |

12 | Release and disconnect coolant connections (9) and seal with protective covers. | ||
Collect escaping coolant in suitable container. | |||

14 | Unscrew screw (14). | ||
15 | Remove coolant lines (12) with attached coolant hoses. | Collect escaping coolant in suitable container. | |

16 | Secure refrigerant compressor (A9) or refrigerant compressor with magnetic clutch (A9/7) to prevent it from falling down. | ||
17 | Make markings on holders (6, 13) and on refrigerant compressor (A9) or refrigerant compressor with magnetic clutch (A9/7). | ||
18 | Unscrew screws (7, 11) and remove refrigerant compressor (A9) or refrigerant compressor with magnetic clutch (A9/7) with holders (6, 13) downwards. | Installation: Ensure correct seating and correct installation of holders (6, 13). | |

19 | Install in the reverse order. | ||
20 | Commission the refrigerant compressor (A9) or the refrigerant compressor with magnetic clutch (A9/7). | When replacing the refrigerant compressor (A9) or refrigerant compressor (A9/7). | |
