Risk of death caused by vehicle slipping or toppling off of the lifting platform.

Align vehicle between vehicle lift columns and position the four support plates at the vehicle lift support points specified by the vehicle manufacturer.

Remove

1

Remove the alternator.

Remove support (1).

 To do so, remove screw/bolts (2, 3).

Remove attached assembly carrier (9).

 To do so, remove screws (4, 5, 6).

Remove attached assembly carrier (13).

When replacing attached assembly carrier(13).

 To do so, remove bolt (14).

Remove tensioner pulley (10) with tensioning lever (11) from attached assembly carrier (9).

When replacing the attached assembly carrier(9).


Note left-hand thread of screw (12).
Otherwise damage may occur.

 To do this, remove screw/bolt (12).



Check

Check attached assembly carrier (9) for damage.

In the case of a corresponding finding,



replace attached assembly carrier (9).



Install

Unscrew bolts (7) by several turns until the holder (8) can be moved.

Position attached assembly carrier (9) onto crankcase and screw-in bolts (4) lightly by hand.

Position support (1) and screw-in bolts (2, 3) lightly by hand.

Tighten bolts (2, 3, 4).

Push holder (8) upwards until holder (8) makes contact with oil pan (15), then fix in place with bolt (5) and then bolt (6).

Tighten bolts (7).

Position tensioner pulley (10) with tensioning lever (11) on attached assembly carrier (9) and tighten bolt (12) slightly by hand.

When replacing the attached assembly carrier(9).


Note left-hand thread of screw (12).
Otherwise damage may occur.

 Bolt (12) is tightened with torque when clamping poly-V-belt of refrigerant compressor.

Position attached assembly carrier (13) and tighten bolt (14).

When replacing attached assembly carrier(13).
