Danger!

Never perform welding work on or near a closed air conditioning system. No smoking or open flames. Wear safety glasses and protective gloves. Work only in well ventilated areas. Carry out repair work on the air conditioning system circuit only after the system has been discharged.

Installation: Evacuate, refill air conditioning system and check for proper operation and tightness.

Open engine hood

Remove V-belt (3)

Detach electrical connector (6) on roof air conditioning refrigerant compressor (1)

Installation: Ensure that electrical connector (6) is seated properly.

Detach refrigerant lines (4, 5) on roof air conditioning refrigerant compressor (1)

Installation: Install new sealing rings (4, 5) for refrigerant lines.

Remove brackets for refrigerant line (5) from oil pan

Installation: Observe spacer sleeves.

Undo bolts (2) and remove roof air conditioning refrigerant compressor (1)

Replace refrigerant lines (4, 5) and expansion valve

Only if the roof air conditioning refrigerant compressor (1) is replaced because of an internal fault.
