Risk of explosion caused by welding or soldering work on closed air conditioning system. Risk of poisoning caused by inhaling overheated refrigerant vapors. Risk of injury to skin and eyes caused by contact with liquid refrigerant.

Never perform welding work on or near a closed air conditioning system. No smoking or open flames. Wear safety glasses and protective gloves. Work only in well ventilated areas. Carry out repair work on the air conditioning system circuit only after the system has been drained.

Drain air conditioning system

 Installation: Only fill air conditioning system after replacing the accumulator.

Remove right front door sill trim

Remove paneling from right B-pillar

 Installation: Attach cover on right B-pillar only after filling and checking the air conditioning.

Raise vehicle

Unscrew nuts (1) from vehicle underside and remove refrigerant lines (B, O)



Compressor oils (specification 362.0)

 Installation: Attach refrigerant lines (B, O) with new sealing rings (4). Coat sealing rings (4) with compressor oil.

Seal off each of the openings of the refrigerant lines (B, C, N, O) using stop plugs

 Record plug

Unscrew nuts (1) in vehicle interior and remove refrigerant lines (C, N)



Compressor oils (specification 362.0)

 Installation: Attach refrigerant lines (C, N) with new sealing rings (4). Coat sealing rings (4) with compressor oil.

Seal off each of the openings of the refrigerant lines (C, D, M, N) using stop plugs

 Record plug

Remove screws/bolts (2), unclip bracket (3) and swing to one side

 The refrigerant lines (C, N) are secured with three brackets (3) at the B-pillar.

Unclip bracket (3) and swing to one side

Remove refrigerant lines (C, N)

Install in the reverse order

Replace fluid reservoir

 After completing the work at the open refrigerant circuit, the accumulator must be replaced.
