Never perform welding work on or near a closed air conditioning system. No smoking or open flames. Wear safety glasses and protective gloves. Work only in well ventilated rooms. Carry out repair work on the air conditioning system circuit only after the system has been evacuated.

Remove/install

Discharge air conditioning system.

Model 447 except code HX1 (R-1234yf refrigerant), model 448

Remove upper trim and both supports between front module crossmember and radiator grille.

Release radiator grille far enough to gain access to air duct segment (1).

 Do not unclip catch hooks of radiator grille.

 Model 447, 448 with code JS1 (360° camera)
Do not disconnect electrical connector from 360° camera.

Release air duct segment (1) far enough until refrigerant line (2) is exposed.

Remove refrigerant line (2) from condenser.



 Installation: Replace sealing ring and moisten with compressor oil.

 Nut, refrigerant line to refrigerant condenser

Seal refrigerant line (2) and connection on condenser using stop plugs.

 Record plug

Remove refrigerant line (2) from refrigerant compressor.



Seal refrigerant line (2) and connection on refrigerant compressor with stop plugs.

Remove refrigerant line (2) upwards.

Install in the reverse order.
