Remove

1

Switch off ignition and store transmitter key outside of transmission range (min. 2  m).

Remove engine compartment lining underneath condensation drain.

Place a receptacle under condensation drain.

 Dispose of collected cleaner properly.

Cover working area with absorbent cloths.

 Cleaner must not enter the vehicle interior.



Clean

Clean evaporator through opening of activated charcoal particle filter.

Check if any cleaner is discharged through the condensation drain.

If no cleaner is discharged from the condensation drain,



clean condensation drain.



Remove cloths.

Remove receptacle.

Ventilate

 Warning

Risk of accident from vehicle starting off by itself when engine running. Risk of injury (bruises and burns) resulting from working on the engine while it is being started or when it is running.

Secure vehicle to prevent it from starting off by itself. Wear closed and snug-fitting work clothes. Do not touch hot or rotating parts.

Open all doors on vehicle.

Start engine.

Switch on air conditioning system, set air distribution to center air vent and let blower run for 5  minutes at the highest setting.

Set air distribution to defroster, center and footwell vents and run blower at highest setting for 5 min.

Switch off engine and close all doors.
